Anyone who has been to the towns of Ann Arbor, MI and Madison, WI would probably agree with me that these two towns are exactly the same. It felt like we drove in a giant 7 hours circle today. Luckily, i bought a new car yesterday after my old one broke so it was like a first date. it went pretty well, ill probably ask her out again.
anyway, we had breakfast at a neat diner called...
Northside Grill (ann arbor, MI)
We found this place because it was the closest breakfast place to us (according to google). I'm glad we found it. I had a burger, it was great. It was expensive (~$10), but i got it exactly how i wanted it, with bacon, janlepenios and guacamole. i should explain why i got a cheeseburger for breakfast: the first thing i noticed on the menu was OLD FASHIONED VANILLA COKE!!!! everyone knows you cant drink coke with breakfast so i got lunch (it was after noon anyway). Everyone who got breakfast loved it though. They have large pancakes, good breakfast sandwiches, and other classics. I highly recomend this diner.
Oh, i almost forgot about last night!
Bell's Pizza (ann arbor, MI)
After walking through the rain and drinking a couple beers i decided that i absolutely needed a mushroom and feta pizza. Our friend alex, who was nice enough to let us stay at his house, informed me that bell's is a solid pizza joint that would deliver after midnight. We got my mushroom and feta pie, and a pepperoni pizza. both were great. awesome crust, quality toppings. the downside is the price. we payed like $30 for 2 pizzas. i used up all the cash i had, but it felt worth it at the time.
Then we drove to madison to see Ru, and got stuck in chicago traffic. It was ok though because it was "rush" hour and we listened to all of 2112. we drove straight to...
Ginza of Tokyo (madison, WI)
Japanease steak house where they have the chef make giant flames whilke you sit around the stove thing. I loved it. I coulnt finish my meal because joe bought me too many japanease beers to pay me back for the pizza last night. i havn't been to many of these places but this one had some "best japanease resataurant" plaque in it, so im sure it is good comparatively. i really liked it. theres 2 of this franchise in town, if you're around you should check it out. the sushi was pretty good too.
We have shows for the next 3 days, so i dont know if we'll have a chance to eat anything cool, but I'll keep the updates flowing. i feel myself getting into the swing of this blogging deal...
