Chicago!

We got to chicago with dreams of pizza and weiners in our little minds.

And what we got was just that.

The hot dogs we're from Felony Franks, a little place that just opened up and caused a bit of controversy. It's staffed by only ex-cons, and offers such delicacies as the famous felony frank, the misdemeanor weiner, the chain gang chili dog, and other hot dogs with prison-related names. It was a great place.

The pizza was from a place near where we are staying in Ukrainian Village. I was drunk, so i don't remember the name of the place, but they sell pizza by the slice. The 6'9" man we are staying with took us to this place because it's clearly the only place in chicago with large enough slices to fill his giant belly. These slices are seriously larger than a frozen pizza. The whole pie had to be more than 3 feet in diameter. $4 for a slice and a soda.

Who knows where we'll be tonight, but we'll probably have to eat.

Wisconsin Food (so far...)

Right before we hit the road, we decided to have breakfast at my favorite breakfast restaurant in Houghton, Victorias's (aka Vicky's). Pretty standard breakfast, with some vegetarian options and some middle-eastern-ish food too. I had the breakfast special, 2 eggs, potatoes, toast for $2.50.

Then we hit the road.

We stopped for lunch at the Tomahawk Family Restaurant in Tomahawk, where I used to live. Standard family diner food. We all ordered burgers from our sassy waitress. It was pretty good.

Now we're off to madison to play a couple shows. Hopefully there will be gyro's involved.

Pre-Tour BBQ Pizza

Last night we started practicing to hit the road. In honor of this occasion, Kate and I made some delicious BBQ Chicken Pizza!

We used pillsbury crust (1 standard, 1 thin), a can of store brand sauce, a shit-ton of mozzarella cheese, sweet baby ray's honey bbq sauce, and some chicken drumsticks that my mom gave me last weekend after a family gathering. Pretty simple meal, just throw all the shit on the dough and cook like it says too. Oh, and wee added some minced garlic to the sauce. I'm going to go eat some for lunch now. Here's the tour dates:
